It's based on two characters from SNK games. Benimaru Nikaido from the "King of Fighter" series and Freeman from "Garou: Mark of the Wolves" and the "Fatal Fury" series.
It's a fanfic, but you don't have to know anything about the characters to read the story. The author drops references to the games for those who have played it, but the plot is still good even if you don't know anything ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
