    It wasn't written by the mangaka, it's a stylistic text used by many to signal text without having to write actual text ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ The technique is used in e.g. writing programs' templates.

    i think it's almost impossible not to understand certain curse words in foreign languages, especially latin languages. she's British, is fairly educated as she knew the history of tuscany, it's maybe less obvious than if she was french (pute = puttana) but it's not that hard to connect the dots
