Due to my parents' job, we moved A LOT throughout my childhood; it would take me a long time to make close friends and once I finally did it would be just one or two people and that's it.
What I always felt was kind of disheartening was when I'd get to meet those people that were so important to me years before and now they've changed so much we're no longer compatible.
I think I went the wrong way and just became cynical to any of that, don't think I can truly trust things will work out in the end; not even as an adult :P
It's sad when you realise that you'll all grow up and drift apart... It's especially painful when all of you are happily together, and after several years, you all have your own path. You're no longer children.
