Ohboi if you want to do the diddle with Yuki just say so, don't have to be an annoying little bitch and invoke your rights as a 'childhood friend'. There's always that one self-righteous, all-knowing asshole in every manga who presumes they know what's the best for someone else (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ fuck off. While I understand how disconcerting and troubling it is to see someone you grew up with begin to 'change' so much or to see your only son deviating from the so-called 'path' you've painstakingly planned out for him and his future, you have no right to beseech how he is going to live his life after he has made his choice clear — much less dictate who he decides to associate himself with, especially when the person who they are choosing to spend their time with brings so much more happiness, open-minded and wisdom than you ever will in your own world of preconceived notions and restrictive stereotypes.

While the circumstances of Yuuki are depicted to be on the more extreme side for the added dramatic element, the issues that he faces are extremely reflective of our current society and lives as well — controlling parents who suffocate their children and passions, toxic friends who always act like they know what's best for you, the crushing expectations of our family and society, the constant fear of being ostracised if you embraced your differences, and yet the constant want of being true to yourselves. And for some of us, we are lucky enough to have that silver lining, a glimmer of hope in our lives like how Yuuki has Asahi — and I think, we should cherish these people with all our might and love.

Ohwell... this turned into another longass post again. ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
