I don’t understand it either. They had different upbringings and different ideals, of course they will share similar traits such as stubbornness and other things, but that doesn’t mean they’re alike. I hope someone else comes and whisks him away, especially since Ian is suffering from heartbreak pretty much.

I don’t get as to why both the cardinal and soleite are so obsessed with Ian. Both Brian and Ian have completely different lifestyles and were brought up different. Brian was more outgoing and cheerful while Ian is more secretive and angry/suspicious. All they share is similar looks, that’s it. I feel bad for Ian, even Ian knows he’s being played. Both of them are looking past Ian and only seeing brian, as if he’ll fully come back. Even if Ian remembers, it doesn’t mean he’ll change. He’s a completely different person, completely different values and interests. These dragons frustrate me
