I get what you mean... but somehow at this point I feel he already really likes seme and is just convincing himself that's for his money? I think him going along with everything while still telling himself is just for money till the point of no return would also be nice... like meeting his family, moving in together, learning to cook and finding a job etc... like seme's family really adores him and him feeling too guilty to break up and hurt them, being unknowingly proactive in moving and choosing couples things... and his moment of realization being when an old flame of seme tries to accuse him of being a gold digger and seme answering: But he makes more money on his job then me? And uke is thinking like: That's true??? Why am I with him? And realizing that he's really happy as he is but that he should still come clear to the seme. The cherry on top being the seme already knowing everything from the beginning but accepting it anyway... because it would be better than being with a woman, he isn't missing the money he spent on uke, uke is his type, ahem uke did turn gay and bottom for him, and he can clearly feel that uke is really in love with him... and then living happily.
It would also be really funny if uke is not really poor but being a runaway from home... I mean... his house doesn't seem like a poor person's house (compared to other comics) and it also didn't seem very far from rich seme's house. There's also the fact he was meeting a friend in that upscale restaurant at the beginning and not wanting to talk about his family...
Both would be funny...
I think the author mentioned he was recently unemployed too..

They need an arc were uke starts getting soft on the top and the a misunderstanding with friends/ family that somehow reveals the truth from the first meeting and top distances himself and uke is like ok find but then realises his feelings and they talk it out after the uke meet finally meets the top again after the incident best if top was about to leave the country or have another date set up by his family and uke bursts in and at first top dosent want to talk but he still loves uke so they talk and uke confesses and they start dating fr and then an epilogue were tops family cut him off cause he is gay and he now lives with uke who finally found a job and top is looking for one too and gets one via recommendation from one of his rich friends (if possible one that either tried ro ruin their relationship or is gonna be part of a couple in the sequel) and after time and they have settled in into their happy daily life tops family gets back into contact they have realised they were in the wrong
