short people exist too. i feel like she doesn’t look like a literally child, she just looks like a short teenager, her features are the same as the rest of the people in her class. but yeah it is definitely a huge issue in other things with some characters looking like 8 years old and being passed off as teens
Help i ahve a few things to say
1. True but the combination of her being super short and having a baby face (i guess???) is not the best and it makes it look weird
2. People irl with baby faces still look like a normal teenager even if they're short (the mc doesn't sorry)
3. The main lead (and ither boys too) are like half a meter taller than her which makes it weird also
4. The author also makes her "baby face" even worse with the huge ass eyes
5. That one scene where the main lead was admiring her playing basketball, it looked like a child was playing i jsut cant
6. All the other girls look normal so why is she drawn like that...
Idk its just weird i stopped reading it bc of her i j cant
Have a good day :3
and there's also still tons of short young looking girl that always got mistaken as a minor even tho they are adult
heck i got mistaken as an elementary kid sometimes when i was in highschool, if you're weirded out by it then you do you, don't read something that make you uncomfortable but stop making it sound like the mc design is so far fetched that it couldn't happen irl when it's not, it's pretty normal especially where im from. like i literally have this one classmate who is 145 cm AND have baby face when i was 17 years old, it's not that weird and it can happen irl
Yes, short people and tall people exist, whatever the ethnicity. But extreme and often unrealistic height differences are the norm in shoujo manga, much more than they are in other media that I've seen. Also, have you looked at her head size in proportion to her body? Nearly the same ratio as an infant. That's not just a "baby face." They're drawing her as a chibi, and him as a regular person. It's the double standard that bothers me. If he was a chibi, too, there would be no problem.
Why does the author think that making her look like a literal child will make her look cuter but it just makes it weird
