Kind of sus, and kind of disappointing.

I bought physical copies of this and the prequel. The first book was definitely good and had a lot of wholesome moments. I was excited to read this sequel and it really sets itself apart from the previous work, but not in a good way. No real progress with the relationship between Nakamura and Hirose, and Hirose’s relationship with the teacher is ambiguous and honestly just really weird. Not sure where the author was going when they decided to expand on that rather than Nakamura’s relationship with Hirose. I thought the teacher would act as a good role model or maybe act as a realization for Hirose to realize he might be bi or something and then progress with Nakamura….but legit none of these things that I felt should have happened, happened. I thought the teacher was cool in the prequel but I get creepy vibes in this sequel. Overall, I am going to leave this on my bookshelf and act like it doesn’t exist because the prequel was much much better
