You are not the only one (⌒▽⌒)
Am I the only one who thinks Sudou is a complete and thorough useless wimp?
Surely he's a wimp, but he's useful for what's coming in the next chapters. ^-^
Meh. Only as a means of bringing Mikhail back on stage. Otherwise, I don't find him a compelling antagonist at all. He certainly isn't a foe worthy of Asami's steel (pun probably intended.)
I didn't say rival, I said antagonist. Feilong was both antagonist and Aki's rival, and a far more dynamic character than Sudou. Even as Aki's rival, Sudou is pretty lame. "Oh boo boo Asami doesn't love me! And now he's mad at me. I'll just lie here and bleed pathetically until someone more interesting shows up to take over."
Fei Long had hatred toward Asami, not so much for Akihito. Sudou had hatred toward Akihito, not so much for Asami. He was Akihito with a mole, Fei Long was an Asami with long eyelashes and hair.
Fei Long isn't any better of a character to me, actually. He ended up looking extremely childish to me, nothing more. Powerful yet obsessed with his own ego and a futile "boo boo" vendetta, years after while he could've just moved on and not just go on a random rampage. Sudou was very recently downright cornered and panicked, didn't have underlings to take care of his hair. I fairly appreciated him for what he was.
What a lot of tosh. You may have changed your name from Lightasus to Nnae, but you still don't know what you're talking about and you still like to hear yourself speak and have the final word. Nothing changed there.
Sudou can be lame--but keep in mind he isn't a Big Bad (or "Boss" bad for those who like the gamer terms). He's a Little Bad and a pawn--and I think part of his role in the story is to show Aki (or at least the readers) why Aki should not join Asami's world, and why Aki is so special out of all those who want Asami.
Don't get me wrong--I also think he is a weak character. I just don't think he ever made it to a level where Asami would have to consider him a foe (though people are pissed about what he did to Aki).
Nah, but I honestly like him better than Fei Long, always consistently said so throughout the years, not sure why anyone would expect any love for Fei Long from me...
Notice I said "I" and "to me" a lot, while you made your point like it was an utter truth that one is better than the other. I just politely disagreed and pointed out he wasn't meant to be a "foe worthy of Asami's steel" to begin with (I think that's a safe statement to make).
Yes I like arguing, sometimes it gets too far, but damn, wrong post to make that point xD.
In a way I find Sudou interesting as a character (yes, he's a 'small rival' but, still, he can be used as a powerful weapon against Asami, it depends on who will be the user and for what reason) and I find really interesting how this comments usually derail and become something else. Here we went from Sudou & Mik (but I prefer Sakazaki ) to the usual Fei yes/ Fei no situation. It isn't a secret that I like his character.
I don't want to hurt any kind of sensitive person here with my opinions, but from my point of view we will see Mik getting something (sex) from Fei by blackmailing him, or something of that sort. I still prefer Yoh as Fei's partner, just my h.o. But I would become a Mik×Fei shipper in a second if I had to choose between Mik and Tao ( Fei x Tao, no please. Vade Retro!)
LOL--I second you on the Tao sentiment. I can see the blackmail plot and I get what Eworth was saying--but I really hate Mikhail's sense of humor and I like Fei as a strong character, so I don't want to see him with a jerk like Mikhail when he could be with a man like Yoh who is trying to make himself worthy of Fei. I would like to see Mikhail with someone who made Mikhail the uke or a uke who was a total PIA and who makes Mikhail crazy. Mikhail just doesn't ring my "alpha" bell, so I don't want to see him in that role, and especially not with Fei. But to each her (or his) own, I guess.
I don't like Mik as Fei's partner, it will better Yoh 2000 times, you know. But the 'factor' Tao makes me cringe to no end. What I fear the most is (even if we don't how much time has passed since the NT arc ) is that Tao becoming an adult and being aware about his rights as the real heir of Fei's organization will become his enemy and will try to damage him as his father did. ( ̄へ ̄)
The dynamics between Fei and Mik is interesting one .Flirty and playful with just a pinch of danger; from the start on the boat(when we first see them together) .Mikhail has not made a real move on Fei and I don't know if it could work. Their teasing and banter seems like 2 brothers trying to prove which one is stronger, not lovers to me.Besides if Fei cont. to head his grp., he can't be with a rival grp. leader. One would have to give up power.
This may be my romantic side talking, but I could see Mikhail giving up power for Fei, becoming willingly subordinate for Fei in public so long as he could get Fei under him in the bedroom. Though I think he would be an adoring, indulgent seme to Fei's pouting, demanding uke, even a switchable couple. I just get the sense that Mik is dead gone on Fei. Fei is like catnip to him.
I did like Yoh and Fei, but Finder No Rakuin kind of killed that for me. I think Fei would have to give up power for Yoh at this point. If the new novel is a continuation of Fei's story, maybe it will change my mind. We'll see. I'm not particularly shipping Fei and Mik. Just like the sparks when they're together and could see it happening. I just want beautiful Fei to be happy. Ha!

I'm the only one to ship together Sudou and Mikhail??
