Plus, it was wonderful that the girl was understanding, she saw his true self and did not judge him or try to conform him to society's norms. They talked it out which was very mature for people so young.
Seiji was so worried he'd be shamed and hated, but turns out it was okay. That darn irrational voice of anxiety telling you the worst is gonna happen if you say something. Usually things turn out just fine after all. Actually he made things worse by worrying and keeping his mouth shut. That girl was very sweet
This was a believable slice of life story which made me very happy that they worked it out in the end. It really had me on the anxiously trying to figure out which way this was honing to go. Neither one wanted to hurt the other and they are middle school aged (??) which is a tricky time in one's life dealing with puberty, burgeoning, personal feelings that can't be explained at the time, and other people's feelings, it is a lot to unpack and sort out when it's your first time dealing with a lot of firsts.
