I feel like you can only say "the characters all look the same" because you don't know how japanese bl manga looked in the 90s... that's when the characters in manga were truly hard to distinguish from another, there are some pretty good ones though, like Bronze is an amazing peace of tragedy of that time- though its not finished here, I have the full series at home though which is why I know. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Also rating means nothing here (or even in general), I read so much with a rating of 9.4 or higher that was pretty bad in my eyes. Everyone has different preferences and I think most people drop stuff without rating it except if they truly disliked it or when they first liked it and it went trash at some point. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I can't talk for others but personally I enjoy series more if there is a bit of plot besides just romance and smut (there is too much boring and repetitive stuff there). Though I agree it not being the best of the best its still a good read if you compare it to what is out on the bl market. But to everyone their own ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
@Rakan-Otaku Thanks for your comment, you have some interesting points. I did read a lot of 90s BL so I see what you mean about the same faces, I guess I expected more from a modern day mangas/webtoons, 90s BLs I read usually had a very developed plots, so I didn’t mind the lack of artistry. I have been reading for more than 10 years, I have read almost 3000 BLs, so I guess I have seen it all. I did read this whole series because I don’t like to give up, but compared to a lot of modern series, this just seems subpar to me. To each their own I guess :) Thank you for beeing kind
Am I the only one who doesnt understand why this has 9.1 rating? The characters all look the same, they have no facial expressions and the story between MLs is so boring and flat.
