this is exactly what i was thinking. i believe that the point of the recent explicit scenes feeling weird or even monotonous at times is on purpose to show that sunwon isnt really into it. on the other hand, i think sunwons inability to do anything politically as well is a reflection of how little autonomy he has sexually, which is why the story has “stagnated” as some people say.

I see a lot of comments mentioning Sunwon's change in personality, but it makes perfect sense to me. He was first like a vixen. Out on the prowl for partners and getting thrills, very quick witted. But he started to soften because I'm pretty sure he started to develop extremely strong feelings for Albis and recognized Albis developing the same for him. Then in that more softened and vulnerable state, he was aggressively and mercilessly assaulted by that priest, who was one of the first people he trusted. We spent multiple chapters seeing the absolute turmoil that put the MC in mentally. He's extremely traumatized, terrified of that priest and still got assaulted by him several times after the initial time. I think we can give him a break for being out of sorts. He's a literal victim trying to rationalize what's happening by putting the blame on himself. And it seems to bring up past trauma of him being assaulted before. Maybe all his promiscuity was him trying to take the power back from his attackers, but it clearly still deeply affects him. I just wish Albis was able to keep as safe as he tries to
