Actually, last time I read, they’re trying to find his relative who also has royal blood. Mc can’t stand the harem life and legit escapes at some point, which he accepts and supports since he wants her to be happy. He also then is willing to give up the throne if he can be with her, and they found the person who can take over the throne basically.
