She sincerely cares for Sing/Sang (They seem to switch between those two often). I don't mind what the FL is doing, a strong and independent woman standing up for herself while no one else is. She can't take the beating and do nothing about it. She has the power to stand up for herself and would be a fool not to use it. The only one I didn't take a liking to was the ML. His personality wasn't quite likable compared to the FL, especially how he watched the FL get harassed by his concubines. However, I can agree that the muzzle is weird. They could have replaced it with something more practical, for instance, a scarf or a mask.
I totally root for a strong FL,but as I said...treating her attendant like a puppy... and the ML is a total phsyco...

loll im pretty sure sang/sing/wtv enjoys the muzzle he literally said he'd rather wear the dog muzzle than the other one. also FL actually cares for sang. + you should read the story further and actually pay attention
