I think the issue is you’re reading this with the expectation that this is a romance (it really is not) when it’s actually a redemption story with a whole lot of incest.
I don’t doubt that Mojito will have them get together and focus on the romance but this is what we in the industry call an extra slow burn (no one else call it that there is not industry but you get the point).
I do agree there’s a pattern presented here but it’s not one I’m too upset about since we do get a lot about Seth learning to cope with the problems he created.

I actually do not feel the chemistry between Horus and Seth at all (is this controversial?). I feel like it's way too one-sided, for it to be a whopping 140 chapters long there hasn't been much development in their relationship, It's even developed a pattern:
-Seth in trouble, Horus rescues him, Horus shows affection, Seth rejects him. It gets quite repetitive. Seems like this might be a true slow burn, or at least I hope so. Even 140 chapters in I feel like reciprocal love from Seth would come out of nowhere.
