The way authors are able to deliver a meaningful story with just one chapeter never stops to amaze me.
I remember watching a documentary about shark fin's harvesting and it's horrible, they are fished only for the fins and dropped back into the sea, often still alive, waiting for death in the dephts of the sea.
Now don't get me wrong, Im no vegetarian or vegan, I actually like fish to a degree, but sharks are harvested solely for their fins as a cultural tradition, their meat is considered bad and so discarded, the term may be crude, but to me it seems to be such a "waste".
To me it looks like people have lost the ability to be grateful for the food they harvest in this industrial era, if you are taking another life, the minimum would be doing it respectfully.
Hope the world will ban this and other useless harmful practices that don't give much in return like killing just for the fins.

Even if they ban it legally, you know humans :/
Also, they won't ban it because "it's tradition and it was always like thi"

I know, it's just wishfull hope. It's not impossible though, the harvest of many fishes are already banned in western countries, thanks to the rigid control over their activities it works to a degree, you can't prevent it all, but hey, that's how it starts. Now china is less regulated on this aspect, maybe it will change in the future, after all the young generation will always differ from the previous one,... for worse or better.
