The tall grey hair guy, they are in the same team. They don't show him much, only when the girl appears.

It would have been necessary if they don't make the same team as rival over one girl. Because that make it uncomfortable to read. Also they are friends and he know that his friends like her longer. Unless he confront him in the beginning that he also like her then that is probably a different story, like the story plot is probably okay with the romance. Not hating on him, Tho it is understandable that he could like her since she get to choose who she want to date at the end. It is either friendship or love. Like it is not that there have not been any sport manga where same teammate fight over one girl, but I just feel that this story is not suitable for romance. It is better to focus more on the sport rather then romance drama. Overall the story is good, just gonna skip the romance part.
