Asking for THE Best story you've ever read

Yona6 September 4, 2023 9:15 am

I'm rather curious about what kind of story other people have loved the most.

I'm NOT asking for many stories, JUST ONE

Genre doesn't matter, manga or webtoon too, just give THE most incredible story you're ever read, the one that you think is the most deserving to be called a masterpiece right now at this moment.

I'm starting with 'Omniscient reader's viewpoint".
I've read both the webtoon and novel, and I just love it so much right now, everything about this story is just perfect in my opinion.

What about you ?

My favorite that I go back to over and over again is Miracle Time by Matsumoto Natsumi. It is just a one shot but the story is really cute and intriguing. It is a quick read that I truly think is worth every second. Such a good little story.

Seasons of blossom it’s a sad but beautiful romance but I’ve read the webtoon & I’ve seen the drama if they came out with a book I would most likely read it i I don’t even like reading regular books fr

For me, it's Fool's Night. The art and characters are just top notch.

I've had ORV on my backlog for quite a while but seeing it get described as a masterpiece has finally gotten me to start reading it, so thanks for that!

"10 years where I love you the most"

I haven't finished it (and I don't think I'll be able to) but for me it's a masterpiece, the art , characters and plot is great and you can really feel the emotions... I was just able to read up to ch.30 because I keep crying every chapter and my heart can't take it anymore so I jumped to the last chapter and that made me cry even more .... It's one of the best one I've never forget

That would be Kings Maker (BL). Perfect art perfect story. Abit touch of psychological twist. Might give you abit of tears and nausea thanks to that crazy king but over all its masterpiece.

For ORV, I really advice you to read the novel ! There is more details, and I find the emotional moments much more impactful, but it's only my opinion !

But well if you don't feel like reading the whole novel which I can totally understand, the webtoon in itself is still great so go for it !

I advise you to read "Ran to Haiiro no Sekai" if you haven't already done so

I found a real attachment to this manga which I described as incredible after just a few chapters.

I became attached to the characters and their story, the drawings are incredible and the story has this touch of nostalgia that makes you come back every time you think about this manga. For me, it is one of the masterpieces that I have had the chance to discover and read :)

The best story I've ever ready by an Asian was called Lord of the Mysteries, it's a webnovel with a manhua adaptation, but I prefer the webnovel version. The reason I like it is because the MC's history and struggle are fucking tragic. He feels so hopeless and alone most of the time, and as he becomes more powerful it doesn't really get any better because the more power the obtains, the more crazy he becomes, and the more people he has to protect. Many of those people are murdered by other power-hungry villains. And the reason why he struggles so hard for long also turns out to be a lie, which makes him feel more powerless and alone. I have a lot of empathy for his character, and it was actually quite difficult for me to continue with the story at one point because I was afraid who would be killed or what would be stolen next by the crazy mofo thief demigod with the monocle (y'all know who I'm talking about).
