I've been having tons of fun with MC that unwittingly acts cute in contrast to the personality they've been showing to most people. It can also be in reverse where naturally sweet MC makes other op ML that is on the darker side of things (Villain/mafia/assassin) fall in love with MC.
Ones that I've enjoyed a lot: -When the Killer Falls in Love (Assassin MC that is badass, but becomes cute like an emotionally confused puppy.) -A Beloved Villain (Yaoi) (MC pretends to be a villain, but he's naturally has a cute personality. And other ML's are noticing past his pretending) -Be My Villain (ML is a villain and he's hot. Also like an emotionally confused puppy. But also op) -I Became the Lousy Side Top (Okay, I loved how MC ends up attracting even the 'bad guys' like the mafia guy. Still a sweetheart that's enough to make the bad guys have a soft spot for MC only)
TLDR: I ended up having two things that I loved reading. I like my MC op and badass (Villain/mafia/assassin) but they have a cute side only for the ML. Or it can be the other way around. MC is cute and sweet and other op ML that is on the darker side of things (Villain/mafia/assassin) fall in love with MC.
I don't mind sex, but I prefer the main content to be more on plot
