Ch.5 he said, Aniki (Naoki) but that is his childhood friend's name. B/c Aniki means big brother..... Naomi is not his big brother

He's not a senpai either, so that is if he was like a brother to him in childhood?

It certainly didn't seem like he was a leader in some kind of gang at least...

What are you saying? Senpai and gang leader has nothing to do with this manga

Aniki is something you can call a gang leader in school or yakuza-branch, and you could also call someone who is older than you aniki(although it's not that usual).

It's like when you're the younger brother but it would gross you out to call him Onii-chan

formally aniki means elder brother, yes, but it isn't only used to address real brothers is what I'm saying

That's true. isn't it usually used to address someone you look up to? A title between Senpai and Sensei?

I know that but that form of Aniki does not apply to this manga, that's what I am saying.
