the consent

I have seen many people say that jeakyung didnt didnt force himself on Kim Dan so to refrence the tea video, when someone says yes to tea at first, but declines the tea when you give it to them, you don't force the tea down their throat yes you can be upset because you have gone through the hassle of making the tea, but they don't want it anymore don't force it on them.

THE VIDEO IN MY BIO IS A FOLLOW UP TO THE TEA VIDEOOO I FINALLY FOUND SOMEONE WHO MENTIONED IT. Consent isnt as simple as tea but this is an ok analogy

I have not seen the tea video. Just from here.
JK… he did threaten and he was forcefully to a point. He did tell him to leave to. Yet, He didn’t force himself on Dan while some actions were forceful. Two completely unrelated things.

Also your analogy does not work. I will have to look into Korean customs and that video

In Japanese customs it is polite to deny the tea. (I know Jinx is a Korean story. That is why I have to look it up or ask an Korean. )

“ It’s a customary act of modesty and politeness in Japan to refuse to take the gift at first – once, twice, possibly even three times – before eventually accepting.”

I heard my sensei tell us over and over about her experiences in her first study abroad experience. She visited her friend’s home. She denied the drink when she was thirsty and she waited for them to ask again but they did not. It would be impolite for her to ask for a drink after she denied it. She thought she would have been asked again as it would happen in Japan. Your analogy is from your perspective from your culture perspective. Korean may be similar to Japan.
Your comment is from your pov. I don’t think it’s accurate.

    Interesting it is the same.

Expect that Koreans will refuse a gift couple of times. This reluctance is considered good manners, so be persistent.

“ am speaking of the Korean custom whereby a person must refuse an offer at least four times. Let's imagine a scene where a person is offered a gift. The person is under the obligation of Korean custom, which requires that he decline the offer at least four times. The person who offers is also under the obligation to offer it at least four times. So, according to this wasteful system of offering and declining, "Please, take it" and "Oh, No, I can't," each transaction takes a total of eight exchanges of offering and declining.”

    Business Korean
Don't refuse tea or beverages, which will always be offered. It is disrespectful to refuse, though you are not obligated to consume your beverage.

No one is obligated to consume the tea.

my comment wasn't really about the tea itself but about the fact that Kim Dan had given but then taken back his consent, which means that JK initially didn't have consent to do what he has done to Kim Dan, that meaning that he did something sexually charged to a person who he didn't have consent of, that being rape or sexual assault. The tea analogy was to make it easier for some to understand that the action was forced on and wrong. I understand that it works diffrentlyin diffrent cultures, I myself am from a country that puts a lot of pressure on you to accept what is gifted to you with no questions, I just thought that the tea analogy from the tea video was simple and easy to understand that's why I used it.
