I hope things doesn't go downhill from the poor choice of words for expressing feelings by misunderstanding. Maxi had a trauma growing up in a toxic household and the Words Using by Riftan had different meanings but Maxi be only understanding the toxic side . It could be kinda misleading. Like Her fam used those words to hide away from the society but Riftan said it to shield away her from danger and to protect her from the danger. He just love her too much.
