She has to touch it with the palm of her hands to destroy it. Even if she touches it mid swing, SHE WOULD STILL TAKE THE DAMAGE! Or at least that's what she thought at the time.
There is also the thing with her dad loosing his arm, so she never wanted to use that power ever again (till she met her fated pair).

I mean I love it but I don't get one thing. If her powers are that she can "destroy" anything she touches...couldn't she just "destroy" the orc and "destroy" the goblins? even if they're using weapons on her ...couldn't she just..."destroy" those weapons used against her by touching it? idk I love the artstyle and story so far but as long as this plot hole still exists for me...I don't think I can sleep at night.
