They played together when they were children. As they grew up, the girl fell in love, and she prayed in a mini shrine to have human form because, originally, she had mini horns on her forehead. They went on a date, and the boy gave her a bracelet. The girl didn't want to have any intimate relationships with the boy because she's a yokai. Then the guy married a human girl, and I think he only married her because the Yokai girl rejected him. The guy's wife got into a car accident and died. The girl didn't want her friend to suffer, so she went again to the shrine and prayed. The wife became alive because of her prayer. In the last scene, the guy was crying and hugging the dead yokai girl in the mountain shrine. Then the girl suddenly vanished, leaving only the bracelet.
