why would it hurt her if he told everybody that she dumbed him? I mean isn't it more selfish to say "I dumbed her" then saying " actually i got dumbed, because i always maked her cry."??? sorry but that didn't make sense to me... ah but maybe i am also overeacting because its already 3 a.m.
I think, maybe, because he is pretty popular. If it was known she dumped/hurt him without good reason (there really was no fault to point to), it could create a lot hostility toward her. If SHE'S been the one dumped 'for no reason' instead, it creates sympathy for her.
