It makes complete sense she treats them as characters and not calisto. Callisto and her went through shit together. They genuinely comunicated and fought for each other + both share similar trauma. They are a match. Obviously he is a man to Pen, and not a character like the others
They shud all be characters if this truly is a game and she's clearly building points, she rarely bothers checking Callisto's but my point being Ecklis she's treating him like everyone else treats like cattle ; it's understandable Callisto is the endgame , but wud be nice if she genuinely cared for the characters she's feeding everyday
Since the day she bought Eclis, he was meants as her escape cart. He is a character she has to check the points to so that he gets to a 100 and she can leave. She never checked Callisto bc she never even expected him to be someone she can and will use, unlike Eclis. (She never checks Callisto and Im sad cuz if she did she would see he is pretty much to a 100 too)
I feel so bad that Penelope seems to treat everyone even Eckles like a game character but not the prince , she seems to think beyond that with him. I'd prefer Eckles story over the prince anyway.
