Yes he changed and they are sooo close. See the next ep yuri has the guts to pull viktor face close to him. In the Begining of series yuri was so shy n fidgety he got panicked when viktor touched his face lmao.... And look how lovely they are now!!

just rewatching yuri on ice from the beginning, and it's almost painful to remember how depressed and low and uncertain yuri was at the beginning. that scene where yuri and victor meet for the first time was already pretty painful to watch, but now after they've developed such an amazingly intimate relationship, it's almost unbearable. to see each of them without their life defining other hurts.
lol don't mind me, just having late night yuri on ice feelings.
also - the op is just incredible and ive probably watched it a billion times now.
