True. His mom got him to erase all her memories back then, how can he not think something similar could be going on there? Especially when he didn't expose their whole group for so long while this guy had erased all of his own memories. And this guy keeps digging himself in a ditch. He knows the other guide keeps overwriting other guide's guiding to make them addicted to his own yrt he keeps associating with them more and more.
