I completely agree, while I don't love it or hate it at this point the author really did do a good job in building the story, the character development is surreal, I think most people (when reading smut) want some type of feel good factor, but this doesn't have that because of how close to reality it is, it's twisted because people are twisted and its totally understandable that people absolutely hate this story, I can appreciate how well it was thought out and written, specifically with how unnecessarily bad things can happen out of nowhere and for no reason to people who's lives are depraved already, and there's nothing or nobody to save them, not for the light hearted
I keep reading cause at this point I need to see how this concludes. Part of me is waiting for something to happen like Zerkin revealing he's the one the marble was being delivered to anyways or some nonsense.
100000% agree with you. Before reading the story I read sooo many hate comments about the author. But I decided to read it anyway because I wanted to see what all the hate was about. And I don’t see the issue??? The author did a good job of character development and making it so real. Like there’s sooo many yaois that have less and people eat that shit up. But because it’s so realistic I think that’s why people hate it. Like you said bad things can happen out of no where. And MC just happen to be there when Zerkin saw him and became obsessed with him. Wrong place and wrong time happens all the time IRL. And then irl if you’re super pretty with society standards, you WILL always have to deal with creeps and cat calls and perverts. I see it all the time with my friends with weirdos approaching them. The same thing here! MC is a pretty boy and Zerkin will take no for an answer. It doesn’t need to be some super elaborate reason and the author did a good job conveying it.

Same even though I don’t love it, I do think the conclusion is approaching and I would like to see how the author would end it. In the beginning, I was thinking too maybe Zerkin was the one entrusted the marble to another guy to give to the MC. And the promise of “sitting on a pile of gold” didn’t necessary mean he was going to keep that gold. If MC decides to stay with Zerkin, he will be rich. But who knows what’s gonna happen

Yes!!! I saw the marble sitting on the pile of gold and I’m like that’s it! That’s what the other guy meant when he handed the marble to the MC. So like even more reason where I think the author executed it very well
How are people not understanding this…? The whole point, zerkin let the MC crawl his way up for control. It was SO the MC can get traumatized and have him dance in his hand. Every single train up was a lesson. And at the end of it, all those trains, Zerkin is also trying to say “it’s better for you to be here with me than over there” he’s TRYING to break him. Hello!!! The MC is now a sex addict and he wasn’t in the beginning of the story. Even tho zerkin is saying he did all that for “love” I mean what a shitty way to express his love lol. But we already knew he’s fucked up and everyone that played a role.

Tbh I can see why everyone hates the story and the author. Cuz it’s so realistic to human trafficking. And with the way how everything is run with dirty money and the hierarchy within the bad guys. It’s real.
And the thing with crazy people once they get hooked on you, there’s no rational explanation to their actions. They will hurt you and abuse you and use you like a slave/cum dumpster, and once you no longer put a fight they kill you. Or if you put too much of a fight, they kill you.
Or usually victims like this irl end up falling in love with their kidnapper (or get killed.) and have given up all hope and their sense of life.

The author just described what happens in the dark side of society but with pretty boy characters. Plus this author isn’t the only one who wrote about not consensual sex. 9999999% of yaois is toxic and rape anyway. That’s why I think people dislike this story more bc it’s much more realistic. And yeah I get there’s no plot about who the fuck zerkin is and how did the MC end up poor etc. but there’s other yaois who have way less info and ppl still fond over it.
Anyway I think the writer did a good job executing zerkin’s thought process and the MC’s and how the MC slowly realizing how there’s no escape.
Anyway do I like this yaoi? It’s whatever lol I don’t love or dislike it. Just adding another one to my list of read.
