You forgot that Ootani is the tsundere archetype (describes a person who is initially harsh and hostile before gradually showing a warmer, friendlier side over time). The tsundere archetype combined with early 2000's misogyny don't make him look very good but in time he gets kinder. So he does improve.
Fr like I like otanis fun character I don’t blame risa for likng him I would too. But I was kinda annoyed and frustrated how she kept going back to him and talking to him first when he was supposed to make the move, or it seemed like the fiends were kinda forcing him to make a move like it wasn’t himself that actually like risa like that.
Well this was disappointing... it's 3am so excuse any grammar mistakes but here goes my review: ML is so frustrating, I kept seeing him get hyped up but he literally does the bare minimum, he's always so hurtful make Risa cry and then apologizes and all's forgiven, it's so frustrating because he never change, every single arc had the same problem with his behavior and it's annoying. Risa was great but I wish she had a bit more of a back bone because she was getting treated like shit by multiple people. Honestly I gotta give props to the author for adding a trans character it was frustrating to see how she kept getting missgendered but honestly Seiko was a fun character and I really wished she got her own love story with the childhood friend or Risa coworker.
I wish I could have enjoyed this more since everyone and their mama hyped this up to me but eh...
