When the group of alfas were chasing the omaga he fell down the cliff/slope. Ougi had heard via a text what the alfas were trying to do, got there just as the omaga was falling and lept to try save him. After that we see a flash back of the omagas life and when we are brought back to the present, we see ougi under the debris that fell with them.
