I hate the trope where, to get over your crush, you absolutely have to confess to them. This case is even more egregious confessing to someone with a wife and kid on the way. I don’t see how that is necessary. I mean a crush is your own personal problem and by confessing, it is just offloading that to the other person. If you have no chance at all and you just were trying to make yourself feel better, then why do that to your best friend and make things awkward for no reason? Maybe teenagers would do that, but grown adults? Bleh. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
