I really didn't understand why kima said that the uke was being selfish. There's no way the uke could hv refused what his father expects him to do. Being Asian and all, I can really relate to the uke's feeling of wanting to get away from that house. He simply couldn't say 'I don't like to do these things' easily because it would make his father upset and other people upset. But I guess that's the reality of Asian household. We don't like to upset other people especially our parents even if it's hurting us.
