Yeah that's why bro explained that getting a 9 star skill is not necessarily a good thing and you don't see people with a 9 star skill cuz it's very tricky. 9 star skill is overpowered but that means ur patron spirit is only 1 star, and it'll be hard to even survive as a newbie cuz ur level would be too low to even use your 9 star skill, so it's locked. But well, you can survive then you'll be really OP in the future. Just like MC, who could only get farming, fishing jobs from his 0 star patron, but he ended up getting a hidden job from an NPC instead. And he's got OP 10 star skill LOL

Why would you ever pick the 1-star patron? The patron controls what professions you can pick and they give you more skills based in their star level. Seems like picking a good patron is way more important than just getting something strong as your starting skill.
