i don't think this is a trope? probably relationship dynamic is more appropriate for this? im not sure, but it's certainly not a "trope", bcs a trope is usually associated with plots and the story structure. i'm saying relationship dynamic bcs i think dark hair is associated with quite, mysterious, and forbidding type. so usually the other counterpart is the opposite of the black hair dudes. usually they have bright features like blond hair, puppy like demeanor and so on.
I'm thinking black cat x golden retriever energy. moon x sun trope. opposite attracts. cinderella trope.
yeah i get what you mean. opposite attraction is a troupe, but it doesn't have any specifications like you mention before with dark hair characters. that's just character type. i don't think there's a troupe for a specific body feature/personality. at least i have never heard of it. there should be a category for dark hair characters that have that same mysterious forbidding personality who's a high position in his job bcs how common it is hahaha
Has anyone else noticed this very specific BL trope where the top has black slick back hair, wears a suit, is a chairman/president/any position of power, and is usually cold/intimidating. Or has this always been a thing people talked about. Like instant family, limited run, speak of the devil, in the private room, the origin of a species, when the yakuza falls in love, siren’s song, keeper of the pearl, big apple. Some of these maybe don’t apply but do you see where I’m getting at.
And there are bottoms with this similar vibe too like the good teacher, unromantic, and I think the dawn split the night? Is there a name for this trope?
