i dont think she was being understanding at all, did you see the way she reacted at the older gay guy? she’s highly homophobic, so she made her son dress as a girl so if he likes guys, it’s technically “straight”

TBH to me it felt like she was intentionally punishing him for being gay rather than it being technically straight if he wore a skirt. I have no idea where it's from but there is a scene from something where a dad finds out his son is gay and yells at him "so you're gay?! Then you get to wear a skirt." He did this to punish and humilate him and this is all that I could hear throughout reading this and watching that poor child suffer. But that's just how it seemed to me.
I get that the mother was trying to be understanding about her son being gay, so, HOW TF DOES IT TRANSLATE TO DRESSING LIKE A GIRL?????????? WITHOUT EVEN ASKING HIM IF HE WANTED TO DO THAT!!!! Anyways, I liked that story overall.
