wait. this is weird. Aren't alphas and omegas supposed to be together? cuz its like dom and sub. it can't be alpha/alpha cuz both of them wouldn't really want to submit to being knotted? and no one would actually get pregnant (in the case of man/man)? if you get what I mean.

cute story tho! <3

    I have the same question.

It's usually Alpha x Alpha because Alpha families like to keep the "purity" (?) in the family. Think of it as nobles wanting to marry with other nobles even if there are cases of inbreeding.

I thought alphas can't get pregnant.
Granted I know little to nothing about omegaverses except from skimming through Abarenbou Homey and this: https://fanlore.org/wiki/Alpha/Beta/Omega

They would marry alpha males and females, then.

But I thought only males could be alphas.

    Fwooshie November 29, 2016 1:14 am

But that doesn't mean that females don't have the capacity to have dormant/recessive alpha genes, therefore making it more likely for them to have alpha children.

Pure speculation, though - this is just what seems logical to me. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I think I read in another manga that females can be alphas too. But I'm new to all this, I had kind of been avoiding it and it still just feels pretty weird for me so what do I know ^^

I remember in Abarenbou Honey it said females can't be alphas, and alphas can't reproduce. Yet for some reason, even in that manga an alpha married an alpha for class reasons. Go figure.

No, I'm pretty sure in Abarenbou Honey women can be alphas. In the explanation in the first chapter (so helpful by the way, thank you so much!) when they show the images of how everyone developed and above the female's picture they have an alpha, beta and omega sign so I'm guessing women can be all three they just don't look any different.
It also says 'everyone can get pregnant' so that probably includes alpha males?
But then they also say that different people draw the omegaverse differently so... I don't know..
I'll link the page here: http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/abarenbo_honey/nbt/6d5913acc7b0dbb2/ChChapter_1/6/

Well then why was he engaged to a dude?

Because the dads were friends, and they were drunk. The second dad had a son not a daughter, if they decide they want their children to get married he can hardly engage him to his non-existent daughter now can he.
To be honest, I don't think anyone gives a fuck about what gender marries what gender anymore. They've evolved so it doesn't even matter as both genders can do pretty much the same things now.
I don't understand what you're trying to ask/argue with that question...?
That's just one scenario in that world, a world with two storylines that the mangaka wants to connect I might add. It's just convenient.

Not really trying to argue anything. I was just confused.
And while they are different authors, many omegaverses use the same laws despite being the stories being written by different people.

Ah it's alright I meant argue in the positive discussion sense, not the picking a fight sense, I just couldn't figure out how to word my sentence. My brains not working.
I don't really have enough experience in the omegaverse to know but it does just seem like a collective idea, though maybe some people add more stigma towards the omegas and some don't I guess? Or some have the concept in a world like ours and some have it in a world with a heavily regulated system?
