I don’t think you read the story correctly Ren was the one putting herself in their situation. Ren kept questioning Yo relationship with Kei and was repeatedly begging Kei to let her draw them after Kei said no multiple times. Ren was also the one that hugged the girl not the other way around. Kei literally wanted nothing to do with her at the beginning but ren put herself into their situation.
Also it’s not like she actually seen him try to cut his dick off she just heard about his self harm and thought it was her fault because she was pressuring Yo to make up his mind and be with Kei even though Yo was very clearly confused and conflicted.
I feel bad for ren the most, she just keeps getting dragged into their bullshit, imagine having to see a guy who tried to cut off his dicks kiss a non binary dude then that same nonbinary dude kiss a girl and then the girl just randomly hugs her all within the same minute
