I agree! I also like this ending, people is too used to have the happy ending. I think this ending is more realistic with Eren's personality and esp after what he had done too.

Finally finished reading this so now I can watch the final chapters and see it animated. Tho, I still prefer WIT's animation than MAPPA's.
I like this ending tbh. I don't get how people not like this ending. The Eldians and Eren's friends were able to live and die of old age and in peace. The war/conflict happened again after probably a century after Eren's death but that's reality and inevitable.
