Were you really the translator for the recent chapters? If so, I'm genuinely curious why you thought it was appropriate based on the setting of the story to use such modern slang? I think the complaints are valid criticism, the overall quality of the scanlation is good so from that we can infer that you're capable of doing a better translation. Thus I'm wondering why would you use modern and informal slang?
p.s. this might come off as demanding but I'm not, I'm just inquiring ( • ω• )
I am not the translator. I feel like people complain a lot when they didn’t even have to pay for this just be grateful you get to read it we could be out here struggling but we get to read manga in our electricity filled homes. I feel as if these people need to go “touch some grass” and get over it if they don’t like this translation they can search for another website or retranslate it themselves. People are desperate to be mad at anything and it shows. (● ̄(エ) ̄●)(Not directed to you but in general)
That’s why I usually don’t complain when there’s trouble with translations because for the most part it’s in good faith and I can tell they’re trying and I feel bad when they’re apologetic about it but this?? Well if it doesn’t bother you and you’re happy with it that’s good for you but a lot of people including me say it would have been better off not translated at all. I can’t read through it because it throws me off and it is very intentionally translated this way. If that doesn’t bother you, that’s good for you but it does bother me and I want to express I don’t find it funny. But as people suggested official translations are coming and I’ll wait on those to purchase them.
What the heck…? It’s totally ruining the ambience of the story and the characters having them go “baby” and “yo”
