I overall liked it, I like the fruity friends and the art, but the rape was off putting. There could've ways to write the story and not have rape. If they wanted to stick with the "afraid of going berserk" shtick, they could've just had consensual sex that went wrong, at least then the bad taste left in the mouth would be a little less potent.
