Read the raws, up to chapter 20!

I'm not sure how some of you don't see the issue with mc's behavior. It's okay if you disagree with my opinion, but I personally find him gross and unlikable. I'll share a summary of the raws first, and then elaborate my own thoughts at the end.

Summary:

in the next chapter mc tells Hyun Dal about his identity, explains his lies, and half heartedly apologizes for "tricking" him .. then he has the audacity to gaslight Hyun Dal and tells him that if he was a "pretty omega" he wouldn't be this upset Hyun Dal blows up at him, understandably so, and says some very completely valid shit. He storms out of the coffee shop, and 5 seconds later stops and feels guilty for being harsh so he walks back to continue the conversation. Long story short, mc suggests that maybe they can be friends instead and he'll tell no more lies they meet up a couple times after that and mc is shamelessly acting like they're dating or something, so Hyun Dal is like yea.. this isn't working and basically suggests they should go their separate ways. 3 weeks later, they're both experiencing extreme fatigue, insomnia, headaches, etc. MC visits a doctor and he's told that what he's experiencing is "hormonal abnormalities" as a result of a deep bond being severed abruptly (suddenly losing a deep connection). He can try medication that has side effects, including erectile dysfunction... or the best solution is for the two of them to meet up again, spend some time together, and slowly separate over time instead. He calls Hyun Dal immediately and has the audacity to act like he's responsible for his ED, etc. They end up meeting up again and slowly start to spend more time together out of necessity - and ofc mc is trying to take advantage of this situation and doesn't even feel bad. That's basically the gist of the upcoming chapters.

thoughts:

I cannot bring myself to like this mc! what's most upsetting is that even now he doesn't actually feel bad about what he's done. There is zero guilt or remorse, and even after meeting Hyun Dal in person, he's not reflecting on his actions. It's actually outrageous how selfish and shameless he is.... He doesn't consider how his behavior affects Hyun Dal and does whatever he wants to satisfy himself. While Hyun Dal is genuinely making an effort to accept him as a "friend", while also emotionally and physically suffering as a result of mc's lies, this dude is thinking about how to make a move on him and get him to "like" him. It's actually gross!
Hyun Dal on the other hand is the most empathetic, kind, and good-natured character I've ever seen.. he's too good to a fault it actually becomes frustrating. He's constantly reflecting and wants to do the right thing, and he's mindful of mc's feelings even though he honestly doesn't deserve it.
As much as I hate this, it looks like he's slowly growing to like mc he had fallen in love for the first time and was emotionally invested, so it's understandable that his feelings slowly start to resurface... I don't blame him, but it's quite frustrating to watch the contrast of the two characters. I could look past everything if mc had shown any genuine amount of remorse for his actions, but what pisses me off is that he thinks it's not that big of a deal and continues to act as he pleases he's very shallow and insincere, while Hyun Dal is the complete opposite, and therefore definitely deserves someone better!
