Yeah I know that wasn't really the point of the post. My point was I just wished he didn't bother being nice to her at all. Or showing her sympathy the whole time. Like if he wanted to keep the relationship with her strictly business he should have kept it that way. It's not like she doesn't already know what position she's in isn't flowery. I really wanna like this but yikes. I'd get it if the father didn't know anything but honestly at this point even he's a piece of shit. I thought he toleranted the mother because he was in love with her, or her family held some special influence on his but the minute he hit her. It all became abit confusing like what was the.point of turning a blind eye for so long? What it took her ruining your whole rep before you did that? And for u to honor the princes request so that you never had to see her again since if she's with Claude you can't lie it off? Or what you were to afraid to face the backlash u deserved?!
