|| Spoilers || I think the MC planned to stay in the temple for 2 years so it would be enough time for Mag to escape, get rid of his brothers and become Emperor like in the og story. MC hoped he would fall in love with the ogfl like in the og story. But that didn't happen and MC hoped Mag would forget about her so MC could live normally after. MC didn't stay at the temple b/c it was a temporary hideout until Mag became Emperor. And since she's a noble, it would be unbecoming of her to reduce her power/honor of a noble to that of a commoner to be a priest. It's why she got bullied/harassed by that other priest in training. Thanks for replying. It does help me understand a bit. But still, even if the priesthood had to be temporary, she should have known that returning to the world of the ML would only draw his attention, and result in her imprisonment or worse. Even if the ML had married the OG female lead. I guess I have to rely on the fact that this is a romance story, and they will eventually come around on each other. She just could have done a better job with damage control, imo.
I can’t keep up with the mental acrobatics of the main characters and the the random people appearing and especially the FL decision-making. She claims to know the ins and outs of this story, and yet is wandering around like a lost baby deer, being pulled this way and that by the men in the story. And [[[spoilers]]] why did she do the priesthood thing for just two years and then return!? Like, just stay there and put of the way if you’ve decided to not proactively change the story for good!? Anyway imma keep reading just to see her beautiful red nails make an appearance. Oh, and the MLs eyes freak me ouuuuut
