so the reason why they didnt leave is bc the mother knew this was the only way for bayan and the emperor to meet, if theyd left she never wouldve been offered up as their concubine/sacrifice, which would only lead to more women getting killed in the future. And i dont really think she was that useless, shes paving the way for more womans rights, was such an influence on her ppl tht officials wanted to be reassigned to the treasury despite the heavy workload and now shes giving solutions to fortify the bond between raon and the empire with the bridge. the thing with her powers is kind of the whole plot, yea shes lucky but luck can only go a long way. Not everyone would have stabbed themselves to heal the very ppl escorting her to her death (the mukho guards). So rlly, its not tht she was lucky to have powers but lucky tht she was the one responsible for them.

Sooo, this a Rastha #2. The mc is dumb, can't do shit for herself and is absolutely useless. The whole plot with her mother is bullshit, doesn't explain why they didn't escape and until the end the mc is a dumb bimbo bch that's just got lucky with her healing powers. Bleh
