I got carried away but here

- Woojeong is pretty cold with jiho at first, and tells the others he will take care of jiho, he gets arrested for drugs and taken in for questioning

- In the office there’s jiho, Woojeong and jiyeon, Woojeong asks for her to leave for a moment, Woojeong tells jiho to just shut his mouth and to not say a word and that he’ll get jiho an attorney

- jiho tries to tell Woojeong again that he didn’t do anything but Woojeong is more focused on telling Jiho what to do when being interrogated, jiho swears he didn’t kiII that guy and Woojeong responds by saying he doesn’t even care if he killed him, that even if he was involved in his death he will give a non-prosecution disposition (meaning, there won’t be any prosecution and the case will end without even getting to trial) and jihos words won’t affect his judgment at all

- Jiho can’t accept that Woojeong wouldn’t even care if he was a killer, to him it felt like he was destroying Woojeongs principle, Woojeongs then says there’s only one thing jiho needs to answer to him, “what am i to you?”, and he left without an answer

- the next day the interrogation happens, Woojeong, the attorney, the lead investigator and jiho are all in the room, the interrogation went well and after a some moment jiho is free to go, he’s told to stay home for a couple of days by the attorney

- Jiho cleans up at home and falls asleep, he wakes up and Woojeongs there making food, they eat and it’s awkward since Woojeong isn’t acting how he normally does w/ jiho, after they’re done Woojeong cleans up jihos wound

- Woojeong says he’s gonna file criminal charges against the guy that haressed jiho and says jiho only needs to tell the attorney the details and asks if he’s okay w/ that

- jiho apologizes for working in a place like that and not telling Woojeong. Woojeong asks if there’s anything else he wants to say, jiho thinks that he has already shown Woojeong enough of his worst side and doesn’t say anything

- Woojeong: I thought you were showing me everything, but I was wrong, I’m the one who’s looking at you, not you showing yourself

- Woojeong gave jiho a phone and told him an attorney will be coming tomorrow, he’s about to leave when jiho calls out for him, Woojeong then says: I want to protect you, but what are you protecting? He leaves after asking that, leaving jiho feeling lost

- Woojeong came home pretty late, during that time jiho was worrying about Woojeong,

- jiho asks why he’s avoiding him, and to just get mad at him instead of ignoring him. Woojeong replies by saying he’s not avoiding jiho

- jiho brings up the question Woojeong asked him at the office (what am i to you), jiho tells Woojeong that he can be everything to him, he has no one but him, and he questions Woojeong bc he already knows that so why did he ask that question

- Jiho doesn’t want to tell him all the ugly parts of his life and doesn’t know why Woojeong needs to know, he ultimately does tell him about his dad, and that his dad will come to Woojeong if he doesn’t get the money. jiho says that just because Woojeong picked him up doesn’t mean he also picked up all his misfortunes.

- Jiho is getting nervous and just wants to kiss Woojeong and return to how they were before. He tells Woojeong he was beaten like a dog, and still doesn’t understand why he needs to tell Woojeong this. He’s worried his misfortunes will rub off on him and spread to Woojeong , he’s scared Woojeong will get tired of him.

- He talks about his mom, and that she threw him away too, he’s crying at this point. He asks Woojeong if he’ll be any different or if he’ll just throw him away too. Woojeong comforts him and holds his face, he’s sorry for cornering jiho, wipes his tears, he asks if jihos afraid of him being disappointed in him, he tells jiho that he’s not disappointed with his ground, and that he doesn’t want jiho to leave out anything about him and wants to know all about it

- Jiho asks why and Woojeong responds by saying this: because there’s more to you, whom I love, than the sides you show me. He kisses all over jihos face and says he needs to know jihos worst so he can comfort him, he needs to know the lowest point of jiho so that he can protect it. He tells jiho he won’t ever change in his world, and to trust him and watch.

- jiho is overwhelmed to say the least, to him Woojeongs words are so sweet he felt like dying

- Jiho wants Woojeong to take responsibility, not all of his anxiety is gone. Jiho hugs and kisses Woojeong, they’re both turned on but they just want to lay down and be in each other’s arms.

- jiho asks Woojeong if he was still angry and Woojeong says he was never angry, jiho thinks he’s lying, Woojeong tells jiho that he was scared, and that it could’ve been jiho lying on the sofa in that room, how horrifying that thought was. He smiles and affectionately tells jiho that all he needs to do is protect himself

- Woojeong says he knows their relationship is unbalanced, and that even if it’s hard to, he wants jiho to tell him everything, and that he will always understand him. He says the case will end safely and that jiho doesn’t need to worry about it

- Jiho brings up his dad, and that he was supposed to give him the money today, Woojeong asks if he can meet him and jiho shakes his head no, Woojeong tells him that he actually already met him, he tells jiho to not worry, nothing happened and he didn’t give him the money. He tells jiho that he’s gonna file a restraining order on his dad.

- Woojeong knows jiho didn’t sleep well and tells him to sleep now and that they’ll talk more in the morning

Anddd that’s the end of that whole arc, definitely went overboard the novel doesn’t end here btw, there’s still some things that happen between them but ultimately it’s a happy ending

I see both sides i.e. why he kept his dad thing a secret and why the prosecutor was upset but the communication in this is not the best every time they argue i get the worst anxiety feeling. The codependency on Jiho’s part is acc concerning, like I wished they took a break from each other and Jiho actually grew up, got a decent life where he is more independent and then they meet again ://

They do get some time apart in the main story and side story! For the main story it’s only for a little bit but in the side story Jiho has to do the mandatory military enlistment service. This side story isn’t completed yet and it’s in Woojeongs pov. Though it isn’t in the most conventional way they do spend some time apart I do agree with that though, It wouldve been interesting to see how the story wouldve played out if they spent time apart and then meeting again.
