The uke did want to be an omega and have a child but his body wasn't that of a usual/normal omega so he lost hope. So he wanted to be a kindergarten teacher because he likes kids (and to have one of his own). I have no problem with him developing into more of an omega and that changing a bit of his lifestyle because it was depicted that it was what he wanted. The problem is him losing his job (though he got it back) for it.
The uke is too kind to have forgiven the seme that easily. Author could have added more to show the seme made tremendous effort to be forgiven (because we know they were to end up together anyway).
