If you're bored and are looking for a quick read where you don't get TOO invested with the characters, but can sympathize with them (bonus if it has an edgy quality and is jam packed with action scenes), then this is probably for you.

Personally, I don't think it's *great* but it is decent and, if I were bored and wanted exactly what I wrote above, I would re-read again.

The story started off good, with a solid premise and a character you could root for and a whole ass *list* of characters you hated. Somewhere along the way, you learn about some of those hateful characters and come to feel like maybe...they don't deserve death, but they do deserve SOMETHING terrible happen to them. You still hate them, but you come to understand that some things are not always exactly as they appear.
There was a decent twist with another character caught in the middle and given an ultimatum, and then another character who was a lighter counterpart to our MC who is also easy to root for, and you kind of want him to be able to change the MCs mind about revenge. Throw in some meddling angels and demons, boom, a good story verging on great if they just stick the landing.
The middle of the story was even good at least partially way through, and I did enjoy MCs edgy rampage.

Then it's like the author and team realized that the plot was too common and predictable, so they threw in some extra details that, honestly, made the plot a tiny bit messy and convoluted.

Sihyun, the guy caught in the middle of good and evil, saving someone good and obviously beaten down to the extreme or saving a past friend turned evil (so he thinks) was presented as a character that would matter. His involvement in the past was rather important, and his task in the present given to him by the angel while also being thwarted by the demon WAS important...but he might as well not exist. In fact, he doesn't exist for a WHILE until suddenly he does again because of reasons.

The demons are presented as evil meddlers, because...well, that's what they do, but the *angels* are just as bad to the point you don't want either side to win but end up thinking at least the demons are honest about their nature. Both sides do mention several times that God in this universe is basically a greedy gambler who doesn't know when to call it quits, but the involvement of the angels and God is never fully acknowledged by the characters you feel should receive this information (like the main characters), and so it's never addressed as being an actual problem where someone will be held liable. Like the angels or God who are 100% equally to blame for all of this ever happening.

The fight scenes between MC and MA (main antagonist) are often dragged out only for one of them to be saved at a critical moment by Deus Ex Machina.

The police get involved but they're literally useless the entire way through, and then there's small details that just don't make much sense but can be overlooked etc, etc..

The action scenes are pretty good! But they so lack originality. Basically, they took the interesting bits of Tokyo Ghoul, Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, and maybe D.Gray Man, then mashed them together. You'll have fun looking at the visuals and the layout of the scenes, but you'll look at the character designs and think "hmm...I've seen that before, haven't I?"

DO GIVE THIS A TRY, IT IS A DECENT READ but don't expect to be amazed.
