Fuck why am I relating to Lau, this wasn't supposed to happen and it's definitely not a good thing
I guess it's fair that everyone is pinning this on him but I feel where he's coming from, he isn't particularly smart nor is he very good at anything but he has a big desire to prove himself at the same time as he is afraid of being considered useless or tossed aside, he obviously likes Xin but at the same time, he doesn't know how to connect with him and he does not think Xin trusts him, which makes sense considering his friendly but still somewhat a little closed off behavior.
And Lau is too proud and too insecure to take the first step into having a conversation with him, so they're stuck in this limbo.
