He wouldn't start at zero letting someone get kidnapped is in the negatives an horrible (she could have been maimed)because it would get rid of her for him. That is not neutral. I agree it jumping only 1 is not good either because now he's taking her side so it should have been a bit higher
I would say letting someone get kidnapped would be 0 bc he'd be indifferent to her. At his initial level of dislike I would have expected him to actually PLAN the kidnapping lol

I feel like your basing it off of normal ppl emotions. I'm looking at it not only from a character pov but also the setting.
Just because it's his blood sister doesn't mean he would have a normal sibling attachment to her. Also being raised in nobility where your siblings are your competition to being the hier already lowers his likability towards her. And the fact he was not raised with also lowers his affection. And the fact he grew up around constant hostility of ppl wanting to use him his family and his heritage of course a little girl showing up with the father already showing blatant affection for her I due to get his guard up even more.
He has no reason to be neutral towards a new threat and comparator. He is much more on guard and cold and standoff-ish than his little brother. He would obviously dislike her a great deal and be okay with others getting rid of her for him with out having to get blood on his hands and risking his father's ire.
The way his likeability works is stupid. 0 should be absolute neutral, anything below that should be active dislike/hostility. If his favourability was +999 he'd be just like their dad and would do anything for her but when he was -999 the worst he did was allow her to be kidnapped lol the extremes only seem to work in her favour. It seems more like he should have started at 0 and his favourability now would be 100+ bc at only 1 favourability hes willing to cause trouble for himself and act out of character..
